It is ridiculously windy in Baltimore today. The sun is out, and I have tried to step outside and stand with the sunshine hitting my face, but it’s too damn windy. This is the kind of wind that rips through your layers and chills your skin. That winter wind that practically knocks you over as you round your back and hunch your shoulders, contort your body to brace against the cold sting. I am ready for some nice spring wind. Wind that gently lifts your hair and cools your cheeks. That flows lightly through the trees, softly rustling new leaves and green sprigs. Enough of this wind that makes everything crack and whine. That makes my ears burn and my eyes water. Enough already. Be gone, Winter. You’re not welcome here anymore.
