It’s a gray, rainy day here in Baltimore. The federal government is on the verge of shutting down, which would leave hundreds of thousands of Americans without pay, and further damage our bleeding economy. But hey, at least it’s Friday, and I just told my boss that my last day at my office job will be May 6th. So the world is not all bad.
Let us cherish what simple joys remain in these chaotic times. Like this video, of Paul Simon and Jimmy Fallon performing “Cecilia” with some help from STOMP.
Though I’ve been known to give Jimmy Fallon a hard time for his complete inability to make it through any SNL sketch featuring Will Ferrell, I actually love his late night show and the pure joy and enthusiasm he brings to his stage. This performance (and the one from the other week when Stephen Colbert came on to perform Rebecca Black’s “Friday”) is so lively and fun.
Also, Paul Simon is so tiny!
